Local role with global impact

In this role, you will be part of the newly established Embedded Software Team in our office in Augsburg, Germany, while being an integral part of the existing team in Ballerup, Denmark. Our embedded team is diverse and consists of 9 developers and a SW test engineer located in Ballerup. We focus on creating a modular platform with interfaces to the application SW team and the hardware team.

The embedded software team works in a very collaborative and agile environment, where open and honest discussions are an integral part of the way we solve complex problems. For new team members, we value the willingness to learn new skills and the ability to grow, rather than already having detailed knowledge of everything.

As an Embedded Software Tester, you will take part in ensuring the quality of our software projects within scope, time, and quality. You will deliver high-quality work in testing embedded systems and collaborate with your team members about shaping the best possible solutions.

 

More concretely, your work will involve the following:

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for embedded software
  • Work with your colleagues in the embedded team to maintain interfaces and support the application team
  • Support the documentation effort to comply with software medical device and cybersecurity standards

 

Suggested candidate profile

Setting you up for success is one of our cornerstones. In order to do so, we imagine you have a university background within electronics or computer science or similar and broad experience as a software tester. As a person, you are eager to learn new skills as well as share your knowledge.

 

Experience of the following is required:

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Testing

 

Experience or knowledge of the following is highly relevant:

  • Developing and executing manual and automated test scripts
  • Experience with test frameworks and tools
  • Developing SW and documentation for medical devices
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Testing embedded systems (preferably in a Linux environment)
  • Tools like Jira and GitLab
  • ISTQB Foundation certification is a plus

 

Other requirements:

  • English, both written and spoken, is crucial for the role
  • Willingness to travel to Ballerup, Denmark up to 20 days per year
