Business Area:  R&D
Department:  Mechanical Team III
Employment Type:  Full-time
Req ID:  10701

Do you want to help development teams manage requirements, tests, and traceability more effectively? Are you eager to combine application expertise with hands-on project support in an international medical-device environment? And do you thrive in a collaborative role where quality, consistency, and compliance matter?

Ambu is currently looking for a hands-on Jama Process & Application Specialist to help our development teams use Jama Connect efficiently, consistently, and compliantly. Working closely with the Jama Business Process Owner, the Jama System Owner in IT, R&D projects, and Quality, you will combine application expertise with direct project support.

In this role, you will support projects from initial setup through design transfer, improve approved business processes, and help users get the most from Jama Connect. You will thrive if you enjoy solving practical problems, translating project needs into scalable solutions, and taking ownership within clearly defined governance and validation guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve and maintain Jama Connect business processes within the approved governance framework and validated configuration baseline.
  • Provide hands-on project support from setup through design transfer, including requirements structures, product and component test frameworks, baselines, reviews, and traceability.
  • Support requirements quality checks, suspect-link analysis, verification status reporting, and the preparation of design-control evidence.
  • Prepare and execute software validation test cases, document results, and maintain the validation evidence assigned to you.
  • Provide day-to-day user support, troubleshooting, onboarding, training, and coaching.
  • Assess improvement needs, develop solution options for configurations, reports, and related functionality, and implement approved changes in the Sandbox environment.
  • Plan, estimate, and record R&D project-specific work against the relevant innovation projects or work packages, where applicable.

Suggested Candidate Profile

Skills and experience can be gained in many different ways, and we understand that the ideal candidate cannot be fully defined on paper. However, you are likely to succeed in this position if you bring many of the following qualifications:

  • A completed degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Quality Management, Test & Verification in MedTech, or comparable practical experience.
  • Experience with requirements and test management, design controls, or RM/ALM tools; experience with Jama Connect would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in a regulated product-development environment, preferably within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
  • A good understanding of quality systems, computerised system validation, and controlled configuration changes.
  • A practical problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to translate project needs into scalable solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, together with professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

How the Role Works

The Jama Business Process Owner is responsible for the global process, governance, roadmap, priorities, and compliance approach, while the Jama System Owner is responsible for the application, maintenance, and security. Within these guardrails, you will take responsibility for operational implementation, application support, validation execution, and hands-on contributions to development projects.
