Ensure company compliance

 

As Business Ethics and Compliance Officer you will report to the Senior Director, Sustainability, Risk & Compliance but will be part of the ST South organization, covering Italy, Spain, and Portugal, and probably be based in Italy. You will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Ambu Corporate Business Ethics & Compliance Management System. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the business ethics and compliance program in Italy, Spain and Portugal, including compliance with the applicable national transparency healthcare professional laws and regulations, industry standards and Ambu Code of Conduct, Policies, and Procedures. 

Primary areas of responsibility will be:

 

  • Advise and support the management teams in relation to integrity and business ethics & compliance and transparency requirements.
  • Serve as chair of the Local Compliance Committees, including scheduling meetings and developing meeting agendas.
  • Develop, coordinate, and document Ambu’s annual and targeted compliance-related educational and training programs, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
  • Develop, maintain, and disseminate written policies and procedures to address existing and new compliance risk areas.
  • Assist the respond to and investigate alleged and suspected violations of laws and regulations, industry standards, The Ambu Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures, conduct root cause analysis and take documented corrective action, including disciplinary action, where appropriate, and oversee a system of uniform handling of such violations.
  • Contribute to global compliance projects in collaboration with the global business ethics & compliance team.

 

Due to a high level of collaboration with internal stakeholders, a high level of adaptability is required. You will be working closely with legal, finance, HR, sales, and marketing functions.

 

As the business ethics & compliance function is a new and developing function, the area of responsibility is expected to increase in the future.

You should expect 5 travel days per month to attend regional business meetings and to meet with business ethics & compliance colleagues.

We imagine that have a master’s degree and prior experience with a compliance function – preferably within the healthcare industry.

You have a solution-oriented and proactive approach that balances commercial goals and business ethics and compliance risks. You possess a strong personal drive and can work at strategic, tactical, and operational levels and execute on decided initiatives. You have strong analytical capabilities and judgment and can show excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 

You have the ability to maintain strong working relationships with demanding internal and external clients. You can work independently and in a team environment with both the local and global Business Ethics & Compliance team.

You speak English, Italian and Spanish at minimum Professional Working Proficiency level
